Pastor

Pastor Scott Kirchoff was born and raised in Columbus, IN. He is a 1995 graduate from the Fort Wayne Theological Seminary. He recently retired as a full-time prison chaplain from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Throughout his 27 years of ordination, he has served in many, various ministry settings: Church Planter, Associate Pastor, Parish Pastor, Prison Chaplain, Supervisory Chaplain, and Military Chaplain. He is married to Sonja Kirchoff and they have two adult sons, both of whom are in the process of becoming Officers in the United States Air Force. Pastor Scott sees his family as his #1 priority. He is thankful and thrilled to be the pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osmond, NE!

Preschool Teacher

Julie Slagle has been teaching Pre-school at Immanuel Lutheran School since 2005. She graduated from Osmond High School in 1989 and then continued her education at Wayne State College graduating in 1993. Julie has worked at daycares in Wayne, Wakefield, Lincoln and was involved with opening a daycare in Fremont, where she was the Director. Julie and her family moved back to Osmond in 2003. Julie is married to Mike Slagle and they have one daughter, Erica.

Deb grew up and graduated high school in Coleridge, Nebraska. Went to Northeast Community College in Norfolk. She is married to Phil Gutz and has been a member of Immanuel since 1981. She began her duties as secretary in October of 2018. She and Phil have three children, Tricia, Ryan and Aaron. They also have 8 grandchildren, Alyssa, Lane and Morgyn Christiansen, Hailey, Liam and Mackenzie Gutz and Grant & Quinn Gutz. She enjoys traveling, reading, walking and time with family and friends.
