immanuelosmond | 15 April, 2022 11:15

WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

THE ORDER OF WORSHIP FOR BOTH SERVICES TODAY will be on the screen. Also, some are printed out which are laying on the ledge by the bulletin boxes. God’s blessings on your Easter Sunday!

NAME BADGES—please continue to wear your name badges, which can be found next to your picture on either side of church. They help Pastor and Sonja, as well as any new members, get to know our names and faces. PLEASE put your badges back before leaving the church, so they will be here for every worship service you attend. Thank You!

CANDLELIGHTERS for the Sunrise Service this morning are Kaden Polt and Riley Wagner. For the 9:30 Easter Service, they will be Hunter Buchanan and Reese Johns. Next Sunday they will be Spencer Hille and Brianna Kumm.

OUR READER for this morning’s sunrise service is an LYF member, and for the 9:30 service, the reader is Larry Krohn. Next Sunday our reader will be LYF member, Owen Severson.

ELDERS HELPING WITH COMMUNION today during the 9:30 service only are Ross Stelling and Doug Hartner.

THE LYF IS SERVING EASTER BREAKFAST after the Sunrise service this morning at approximately 7:30 a.m.

CHOIR will practice at 8:30 this morning and sing at the beginning of the 9:30 service.

THE QUARTLY VOTER”S MEETING will be held this Wednesday, April 20th at 8:00 p.m. The 2022-2023 Annual Budget will be voted on as well as other church business. All voters are encouraged to attend along with anyone wishing to become a voting member.

WARNING! On the night of April 20th around the hour of 6 pm, groups of teenagers may be seen driving around town. If said teenagers stop at your house please do not be alarmed. They are not expected to be dangerous.

DEADLINE for the May Calendar & next Sunday’s bulletin is this Thursday at 9:00 a.m.

THE LYF DADDY-DAUGHTER DANCE FUNDRAISER was a success! We had a great turnout and many people expressed how much they enjoyed it. A big thank you to the LYF members and their parents for doing an amazing job helping out. Also, thank you to anyone who donated their time and answered any questions we had.

THE LUTHERAN HOUR: Today’s speaker: Rev. Dr. Michael Zeigler - Lutheran Hour airs on WJAG both AM 780 & FM 105.9 on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.

MAIN STREET LIVING NEWS: This is the Life – “Three Days” – The disciples’ reactions and interaction in the days between Jesus’ death and resurrection. Worship Service – Rev. Dr. Michael Zeigler, of Lutheran Hour Ministries, delivers the Easter message. These shows air today beginning at 10:00 AM on KCAU-9 TV out of Sioux City.

REMINDER: Please save all BEST CHOICE labels/bar codes! Preschool is still saving the labels/bar codes. This is a continuous collection so you can collect them the whole year. There is a box on top of the bulletin boxes or you can place them in Julie Slagle’s box. Thank you!

WHAT ABOUT BOOKS are available free of charge for you near the bulletin boxes. These books are easy to read and explain what Lutherans believe and teach about topics important for today.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SETTING UP AUTOMATIC donation payments to Immanuel, please stop in the office and Deb will have you fill out the needed form.

ADOPT-A-COLLEGE STUDENT It is time again to adopt-a-college student. Immanuel has 30 college students who could use some extra love and support, especially as they approach the end of the school year and final exams. We need to have care packages mailed by April 25th to help them prepare for finals week. There are still 15 college student names and addresses available before and after church in back today! If you are interested, please see her and she will give you the student’s name and mailing information, or you can contact the church office.
