CANDLELIGHTERS for this morning are Caden Wingert and Keyston Pfanstiel. Christmas Eve they will be Owen Severson and Juliana Kumm.  Christmas Day they will be Caleb Miller and Anna Kahny. Next Sunday they will be Baylen Guenther and Spencer Hille.

 

TODAY WE CELEBRATE the baptism of Collins Rae Lackas, daughter of Kearney and Kelsey (Koehler) Lackas.  Collins sponsors are Tyler & Tiffany Gansebom and Seth & Megan Lackas.  We welcome Collins as a child and heir of heaven.

 

DEADLINE for next Sunday’s bulletin & the January calendar is Thursday at 9 a.m.

 

CHOIR will be practicing again next Sunday, December 26, at 8:30 a.m.  Everyone, high school age and older, are welcome.

 

WE ARE CURRENTLY RAISING FUNDS to replace the sign on the NE corner of the church with a digital sign. Total collected so far is $20,077.74. Our goal is to collect $27,500.00 so the sign can be read from both directions.

 

THE LUTHERAN HOUR:  Today, "Charlie Brown Christmas TreeSpeaker: Rev. Dr. Michael Zeigler. The drama surrounding the first airing of “The Charlie Brown Christmas Special” 56 years ago, against all odds, it gave viewers the true story of Christmas and doomed aluminum Christmas trees to near extinction. (Luke 2:1-15) Lutheran Hour airs on WJAG both AM 780 & FM 105.9 on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.

 

MAIN STREET LIVING NEWS:  This is the Life – “Christmas Is” – The shepherd in a Christmas play learns the importance of Christmas. Worship Service – Rev. Joshua Keinath of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, IA, delivers the message “Rejoice in the Lord Always” based on Philippians 4:4-7. These shows air today beginning at 10:00 AM on KCAU-9 TV out of Sioux City.

 

BOXES OF CHRISTMAS CARDS are set up on a table in the fellowship hall with prices marked on the back of each box. Please put payments in the can sitting on the table.  (checks payable to Ladies Aid) Thank You!

 

2022 OFFERING ENVELOPES are on tables behind the back pews.  Please take yours home as soon as possible. Thank You!

THANK YOU  Pastor Scott and family would like to thank the members of Immanuel for the wonderful installation service and reception last Saturday.  We also appreciate all of the work that has been done to prepare the parsonage for a new family!  We are thankful to call Immanuel our new church family!

DO YOU LIKE DOGS AND CATSPastor Scott and Sonja are needing someone to dog sit a gentle and healthy 9 yr old dog and check in on cats every 2 days. We are open to letting our dog stay with you, or you may stay in the guest room at the parsonage. The dates are January 3-15. The pet sitting will be paid. Please contact Sonja at 606-682-8494, if you are interested.

 

LOST AND FOUND  A pair of glasses were found after the installation service last Saturday.
