WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

OUR READER for this morning is Larry Krohn and next Sunday our reader will be Ed Brummels. Helping with communion next week will be Ross Stelling and Paul Koehler.

CANDLELIGHTERS for this morning are Karter Johnson and Hudson Schultze. Next Sunday they will be Leia Buchanan & Kenzie von Rentzell.

REV. LEON ROSENTHAL is in Osmond on Wednesdays & Thursdays. If you are in need of pastoral care, call the church or him @ 402-416-1250.

REV. SCOTT KIRCHOFF has accepted the call to be our next pastor. His plans are to be installed here at Immanuel on December 11th and begin leading us in worship on December 12th!

THANK YOU to those members who came out this past week to help with the mowing at our cemetery. Your willingness to help is appreciated.

THE FLOWERS ON THE PIANO this morning are to honor Marlin Gansebom on his 95th birthday.

MUSIC THIS MORNING Thank you to Mrs. Slagle and the preschool students for sharing their songs with us this morning. Today is also the first day of the adult choir. They always welcome more voices. If interested, please just come at 8:30 a.m. on the Sundays they sing (2nd & 4th Sundays of the month), practice and then sing what they have practiced in the worship service that follows.

THE LYF GROUP will be helping at the Orphan Grain Train on Wednesday, October 13th. Planning to leave the church around 6:15 (or when the kids are finished with practice). Please bring some money for food afterwards. Please let Melanie or Marvin know by Monday, October 11th, if you are planning on going so we can make sure there are enough drivers. Thank you!

LYF will be hosting a drive through pork loin dinner on October 23rd from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. here at Immanuel as a fund raiser for the 2022 National LYF Convention. For more information, watch future bulletins.

QUILT TYING will be tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. Anyone is welcome to come.

REMINDER: Ladies Aid will be this Thursday at 2:00 p.m.

CHURCH COUNCIL Board Meetings will meet this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Church Council will meet at 8:30 p.m. Voter’s Meeting will be next Wednesday, October 20th, at 8:00 p.m.

WE ARE CURRENTLY RAISING FUNDS to replace the sign on the NE corner of the church with a digital sign. Donations may be put in the offering plate (clearly marked for the digital sign) or dropped off at the church office. Total collected so far is $7,399.50. Our goal is to collect $22,000 so the sign can be read from both directions. The committee is considering this a mission project. Any questions may be addressed to the committee: LaDonna Stanosheck, Randy Pfanstiel and Deb Gutz.

MAIN STREET LIVING NEWS: This is the Life – “Families Come First” – A man contends with the demands of his career, promotion, and his vocation as a father. Worship Service – Rev. Joshua Lowe of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden, IA, delivers the message “What’s in It for Me?” based on Mark 10:17. These shows air today beginning at 10:00 AM on KCAU-9 TV.

TIRED OF WRITING A CHECK TO CHURCH EVERY WEEK? - We are in the process of setting up automatic payments to the church. We are receiving these payments on the 1st and 15th of the month, beginning this month. You can choose one or both of these dates. If you are interested (it is not mandatory) in doing this, please stop in the office and Deb will have you fill out the needed form.

OCTOBERFEST Members of St. John’s Lutheran Church & School, rural Columbus invite you to their Octoberfest German Dinner on Sunday, October 17th. Serving times are 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Tickets are $13.00 for adults, $6.00 for children 5-10 years of age and ages 4 and under are free. Tickets available at the door. Church is located at 39452 205th Ave, Columbus. Worship service begins at 9:30 AM that morning. Posters are in each entrance for more information.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS:  will be studying "Prophet, Priest, and King" from 1st and 2nd Samuel.  It will also be a study consideration of "The Tribe, the Nation, and the Empire".  We will consider how God's Words orders community life, from family to congregation, from church to nation, and world and empire."
