immanuelosmond | 13 August, 2021 10:51

WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

OUR READER for this morning is Ed Brummels and next Sunday our reader will be LYF member, Caden Wingert. Helping with communion this morning are Ross Stelling and Paul Koehler.

CANDLELIGHTERS for this morning are Hudson Schultze and Owen Severson. Next Sunday they will be Karter Johnson and Caleb Miller.

THE FLOWERS ON THE ALTAR are from the funeral of Howard Timmerman, which was held here at Immanuel yesterday.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS will continue the study of the book of Judges. Today and next Sunday the class will focus on Gideon, a judge who needed constant reassurance that God would be with him. Gideon asked for not just one proof but two. Amazingly God gave Gideon all the assurance that he needed. God gave Gideon one of the craziest battle plans to defeat the Midianites. According to God’s promise it worked. Join Bible Class and you might find out that you are pretty much like Gideon.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster will have their annual homemade ice cream and pie social this afternoon from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Free will donations will be given to mission and human care projects.

THE SECRETARY WILL BE ON VACATION THIS WEEK. The bulletin will be printed on Friday by Julie Slagle. Please email notes for the bulletin to or place them on the secretary’s desk by Thursday. Thank you.

PASTOR LILIENKAMP will be out of town from Monday through Thursday. If you are in need of pastoral care, please contact one of the elders and they will get a hold of someone.

LOOKING FOR CARPET? There is some left from redoing the church carpet. If interested, please contact Randy Pfanstiel at 402-360-0581.

DIGITAL SIGN DONATIONS are being accepted. They can be put in the offering plate with a special note that this is where you would like you donation applied.

WHAT ABOUT BOOKS are available free of charge for you near the bulletin boxes. These books are easy to read and explain what Lutherans believe and teach about topics important for today.

THANK YOU to the members who helped mow the cemetery last weekend. Your willingness to help is appreciated.

THANK YOU to all the members who stopped in to meet Pastor Kirk Clayton while he was visiting here on Wednesday. It was a full day, but a wonderful one.
