WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning.  We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

OUR READER for this morning is Larry Krohn, Wednesday evening and next Sunday our reader will be Mike Johnson.  Helping with communion this morning are Dwight Kahny and Paul Koehler.

CANDLELIGHTERS for this morning are Caleb Miller and Tucker von Rentzell.  Wednesday evening they will be Parker Johnson and Blake Bahr.  Next Sunday they will be Connor Gutz and Zachary Huwaldt.

COVID PRECAUTIONS AT SUNDAY WORSHIP:  At the present time the Board of Elders have decided, in light of increasing number of cases in the area, to increase the health caution at worship services.  This means every other pew is marked off, masks are encouraged but not required, handshaking is avoided, and  communion distribution moved to the conclusion of the service.  These changes are temporary to minimize COVID.  The Lord’s Supper, a treasure of the Lord’s presence, is normally celebrated at the altar with blessing for each table.  We treasure that intimate reception of the Body and Blood at the altar.   While receiving the Sacrament at the conclusion of the service, walking out, doesn’t seem as reverent, it remains the holy Sacrament of the Lord.  Pray that, through God’s blessing, all segments of our lives, at home, work, school, community and church will get back to a full normal.

THANK YOU  to Jaxson Wingert and Lori Koehler for sharing their God-given talents with their four-handed duet and other music played before the Midweek Advent Service last Wednesday.

BECKENDORF OFFERING  The LWML annually has been donating the offering at the Advent fellowship hour to the Beckendorf ministry through LBT. Due to not having fellowship hour this season, a basket will be set up NEXT SUNDAY at the back of church for anyone that would like to give a donation for their ministry.

MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICE Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 7:00 PM.  The Advent series this year uses the railroad crossing warning:  “Stop, Look, and Listen” which is excellent advice for railroad crossings, but even more important for Advent preparation to celebrate the Lord’s birth and readiness for Jesus’ 2nd Coming.  The theme for Wednesday night is “Look!”  Next (Dec. 16, 7 PM)  midweek service will feature our LYF presenting an Advent drama.

THANK YOU to the Marvin Koehler family for putting up the Christmas trees and Advent wreath again this year.  A special thank you to Tammy Lorenz, Marvin & Janice’s daughter, for donating all the supplies to redo all the wreaths to match the blue theme of the trees and wreath.

FOOD PANTRY COLLECTION:  We are once again be collecting items for the food pantry through today.   ITEMS NEEDEDMacaroni and cheese -- laundry detergent -- fabric softener -- body wash – deodorant – shampoo -- paper towels -- toilet paper.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS continues a chapter-by-chapter study of the Old Testament book of Exodus.  The book of Exodus, more than any other Old Testament book, gives a realistic picture of life in the New Testament times.  The lesson today covers Exodus chapters 9 & 10, covering 5th-9th plagues.  In the plagues, God goes head-to-head with the Egyptian gods overpowering the false gods of the Egyptians.
