WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

OUR READER for this morning is Mike Johnson and next Sunday our reader will be LYF member, Tucker von Rentzell. Helping with communion this morning are Paul Koehler and Dwight Kahny.

CANDLELIGHTERS for this morning are Anna Kahny and Cali Gutz. Next Sunday they will be Grayson and Hudson Schultze.

CONFIRMATION RECOGNITION COFFEE AND ROLLS is being held this morning to honor the 8th grade Confirmation class. CONFIRMATION will be held here at Immanuel next Sunday during our worship service. God’s blessings to these students who will be confirming their faith: Matthew Alderson, Hunter Buchanan, Baylen Guenther Spencer Hille, Anna Kahny, Juliana Kumm, Caleb Miller, and Owen Severson

ADDITIONAL DONTIONS NEEDED: The cemetery directory committee is asking for more donations so that the shelter for the cemetery directory can be finished. Approximately $7,000 is still needed. Your donations can be put in the offering and we ask that you please note on your check and envelope that is what your donation is for.

THE LUTHERAN HOUR —“Bringing Christ to the Nations and the Nations to the Church” on WJAG each Sunday at 7:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. It’s Archive August. Today, “A Wrong Comparison” with guest speaker, Dr. Wallace Schulz.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is ongoing, with four “virtual lessons”. Two more packets will be distributed to families after church at both entrances today, August 16th, and on August 30th. A different lesson will be in each packet. If you are not able to attend church on the Sundays mentioned, feel free to stop by the church and pick up a packet as they will be on a table near the back of the church.

THE “CARD PARTY” wants to thank everyone who brought cards in for them to use for birthdays and anniversaries. It is greatly appreciated!!

THIS IS THE LIFE AND WORSHIP SERVICES THROUGH MAIN STREET LIVING are held each Sunday on KCAU-9 from Sioux City at 10:00 and 10:30 respectively. Today – “Trial by Fire” – When an unexpected tragedy strikes…pray, forgive and move forward. Do not allow the past to embitter the future. When one door closes, another will open. The worship service today is led by Rev. Steve Stoll from Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton, Iowa.

WHAT ABOUT BOOKS have been revised and are available for you. These books are easy to read and explain what Lutherans believe and teach about topics important for today. They are available near the bulletin boxes.
