A SPECIAL VOTER’S MEETING will be held immediately following the Sunday worship service on March 22nd. The agenda to vote on will be the cemetery directory and planting of trees in the cemetery. Information will also be presented about re-carpeting areas of the church and possible new spacing between church pews.

CHOIR will be held on Sunday, March 29th at 8:30 a.m. (the 5th Sunday, not the 4th Sunday as the Preschool will be singing on March 22nd).

CEMETERY DIRECTORY PROJECT …Cost for the ‘name directory (without the shelter) will be $8985.00. Memorials have already been designated for this project leaving a balance of $3,921.00 to be collected for the directory. If you would like to make a personal donation, designate a memorial, or contribute Thrivent Action cards, please contact a committee member….Marvin Kumm, Rich Lind, LaDonna Stanosheck or Randy Pfanstiel. Thank You!

CONFIRMATION AND MIDWEEK CLASSES will dismiss at 5:00, instead of the normal 5:30, during the Lenten Season.

THIS WEDNESDAY, with Rev. Steve Weispfennig as guest pastor, we learn of Pilate’s worldly view and how, to keep his position and placate the Jewish leaders and crowd, he handed Jesus over for crucifixion. The soldiers saw the opposite of a worldly king, but their ironic hailing of Him as “King of the Jews” proclaims who He really is. The world looks for power and glory; God’s way is suffering and the cross. Which way do we look in the daily decisions we make?

LENT FELLOWSHIP HOSTS – We are looking for hosts to serve after the Lenten service on April 1st. Please call the church office if you/your group is willing serve.

ALASKA MISSIONS FOR CHRIST will be here on Sunday, March 29. We welcome guest preacher, Rev Carl Lilienkamp during the service. After the service, Rev Lilienkamp, his wife, Darlene and the ministry director for AMC will present the mission opportunities in Alaska during our Adult Bible Class. Everyone is encouraged to join us.

A SOUP COOKOFF will be held after the Alaska Missions for Christ (AMC) presentation. Members are invited to make a pot of their favorite soup to share. The soups will be judged by donations placed by each soup. The winner gets bragging rights for a year, and all donations will be given the AMC. Come hungry and be generous with your votes!!

FOR ANYONE INTERESTED in a visual plan for the planting of trees in Immanuel’s cemetery – white buckets have been placed at the proposed tree planting sites. Hardwood trees will be planted on the east and west sides with a type of evergreen tree on the south.

SPECIAL PROGRAMMING for the Easter Season begins on Palm Sunday, April 5. Palm Sunday will be a one-hour tour of the Holy Land. The documentary "The Holy Land-The Eternal Rock Tour" will air for the entire hour replacing the “This is the Life” segment and the local worship service. The documentary shows the locations where many Biblical events occured. Easter Sunday, Rev. Dr. Dale Meyer will deliver a special Easter message. Rev. Meyer is President of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. Mark your calendars for these two special services. If you are attending services at the time the program airs, you can see these presentations on the web site, www.mainstreetliving.com, until Friday of the week following the broadcast.
