WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning, especially our guests. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

OUR READER for this morning is Mike Johnson. Our reader for Wednesday's Advent worship will be Ed Brummels and next Sunday our reader will be Connor Gutz. Helping with communion today is Aaron von Rentzell and Dwight Kahny.

OUR CANDLELIGHTERS for Wednesday Advent service will be Kennedy and Karter Johnson and next Sunday they will be Mary Kahny and Zaylah Pfanstiel.

INTERESTED IN ATTENDING A JANUARY EVENING BIBLE STUDY ON THE APOCRYPHA? We are joining with Zion, Plainview in this study and it being led by both Pastor Emery and Pastor Bucklew. Deadline is December 30 to get your copy of the Apocrypha with Lutheran Study Notes, and a study guide. Cost is $50. Make check payable to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Classes held on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., beginning January 9th at Immanuel.

LUTHERAN HOUR TELEVISION Today on KCAU-TV, Sioux City @ 10:00 a.m.- The Lutheran Hour Animated series – Red Boots for Christmas-One shop in the small town of Friedensdorf doesn't have any Christmas decorations, and no Christmas spirit inside the store; @ 10:30 a.m. – Worship service led by Rev. John Fries of Grace Lutheran Church in Deadwood, SD. bases his message, "Are You the One?" on verses from Matthew, Isaiah, and James. The program is interpreted and closed captioned for the hearing impaired.

FOOD DRIVE – Immanuel Lutheran Church will be collecting food items for the local food pantry. There is a table set up in the back of church. Items needed at the food pantry are canned soups, laundry soap, fabric softener and toilet tissue. No canned goods are needed at this time.

OUR MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICE will begin with a hymn sing beginning about 6:45 p.m. Come early and enjoy singing your favorite Advent/Christmas Hymns. Fellowship after the service will be hosted by the LYF.

ADVENT DEVOTIONS are in a box on the bulletin ledge. Everyone is welcome to take one! Take one for a friend and/or neighbor! More can be printed if they are gone!

THE LAST SUNDAY SCHOOOL CHRISTMAS EVE PROGRAM PRACTICE will be on Saturday, December 21 for Pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. They will run from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Please have your child there if they will be participating. The Sunday School Christmas service will be on Christmas Eve at 6:30 p.m.

INSTALLATION OF ALL OFFICERS will be held on Sunday, January 5th. ALL officers for 2020 for the congregation as well as officers for Ladies Aid, LWML and LYF are asked to please be there.

SOUP COOKOFF IS COMING!! Cooks, get your recipes ready! Keep watching for more details in your bulletins.

JANUARY 12TH IS ALASKA MISSION FOR CHRIST SUNDAY! There will be a guest preacher and they will have a presentation following the service on the work being done and the need for volunteers. That will be followed by our soup cook off, with voting done by dollars, and the proceeds going to Alaska Mission for Christ.
