OUR CANDLELIGHTERS for next Sunday they will be Joshua Gansebom and Caden Wingert.

WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning, especially our guests. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

OUR READER for this morning will be Dwight Kahny. Next Sunday our reader will be Aaron von Rentzell. Helping with Communion this morning is Doug Hartner and Mike Johnson.

2019 BIBLE SALE! CPH is having their annual Bible sale. It is a great time to buy a new bible for yourself or for a gift for your child or grandchild for confirmation as well. There is a sign-up sheet in the back of church. Please list your order by September 15th. Thank You!

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED!!!! The Fall Sunday School classes will begin September 15th. Teachers are needed. Please contact Jared Koehler if interested @ 402-360-2919

SUNDAE SUNDAY – We invite everyone next Sunday for Sundae Sunday. We will kick off the Sunday School year with games, prizes and ice cream.

2nd YEAR OFFICERS!! – All 2nd year officers are what make up the Nominating Committee. There will be a meeting next Sunday, September 8th at 7:00 p.m. to make plans for all nominations for officers for the 2020 Council and other positions including Auditors, Ushers and Nurturing and Fellowship Committee. Please mark it on your calendar and plan to attend. Thank you.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The Elders have initiated an effort to make sure all families of the congregation are contacted at least once every 6 months. Volunteers from the congregation are needed to help with 10-20 families. Please contact one of the Elders if you would like to join us. There will be a meeting on September 22nd at 7:00 p.m. to get the ball rolling.

QUILT TYING is scheduled to resume on Monday, September 9th, at 1:00 p.m. All ladies of the congregation are invited to come for an afternoon of fellowship and quilt tying. See you there!!

EXTENSION CORDS – If you borrowed the blue and/or orange extension cords from the church, please return them.

CHOIR BEGINS next Sunday, September 8th at 8:30 a.m. We will practice from 8:30 – 9:15, and then sing at the beginning of the service. Come join us!

TRUSTEES LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS to help do some caulking/filling in some holes around the church. Please contact one of the trustees if you are willing to help.

CHURCH ANNIVERSARY --You are cordially invited to join Concordia Lutheran Church, Clearwater in celebrating its 75th anniversary on Sunday, September 22. The regular morning Divine Service will take place at the special time of 10 AM. At noon, a catered dinner of chicken and ham will be offered in the church basement, followed by the anniversary program in the sanctuary, and concluding with cake and ice cream in the church basement. If you plan to attend the morning service and/or the noon meal, please let Pastor Feusse know so that he can make the proper preparations. OBERAMMERGAU PASSION PLAY! Once a decade, for nearly 400 years, the people of Oberammergau, Germany have produced a play of our Lord's passion. The play returns in 2020, and features a 2000 member cast, all from Oberammergau. Pastor David Roth, Zion Lutheran Church, Owensville, Missouri, is hosting an 11 day tour of Alpine Europe, including the Play, Munich, Salzburg, Innsbruck, and more, through Nawas International Travel, the largest provider of Passion Play tickets in North America. It departs New York City on July 28, 2020, $4159. The play happens only once every ten years. Don't wait for 2030. For more information contact Pr. THE IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CEMETERY will be mowed on Thursday, September 5th at 6:30 p.m. The following members of Immanuel are asked to please come and help mow:

PLEASE NOTE!! If you cannot come Thursday evening, you may come in the afternoon or evening on Wednesday or the afternoon on Thursday, but please contact your chairman, Dave Blunck, at 402-748-3603 so that he knows who helped and your name is not put back on the list for the next mowing. Women and older children are also welcome to help mow. We need riders, push mowers, and trimmers in order to do a good job.
