Dear Friends,

Easter Greetings! HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED! ALLELUIA! I have been told we are still in the Easter season, so Happy Easter!

Last time I told you that there was interest in South Africa of having the Khwedam translation done there. There was a meeting between the Bible Societies of Botswana and South Africa, along with a representative from LBT and it seems that South Africa is planning on doing their own Khwedam translation. This has really taken the wind out of our translators' sails, as they feel that if any comparison is done between the two translations they will come off second best. The translation work we have done is very good, but the Khwe 'social elites' are in South Africa, so that translation would have more status. This has been a very emotional issue, and we still aren't sure how to feel about it or how it will impact what we are doing. Please pray that God's will would be done in this situation and that His guidance would be clear.

Otherwise, we are planning for our consultant, Dr. Michael Megahan, to visit here sometime in July to check the work that has happened so far this year. It has been difficult for our translators to have much enthusiasm for work with the stuff in South Africa going on, not to mention that one translator has serious health issues that often keep him from work and another of the translators is often called on for family or community issues. We have been frustrated by what we see as lack of progress; we have to keep reminding ourselves that this is not OUR project, but God's. Things will happen in His timing. Hopefully we will still have plenty for Michael to check when he comes here.

Praises:

- Thanksgiving for our Risen Lord!

- Thanksgiving for everyone who has been praying for us.

- Thanksgiving for Splash, Moses and Moronga.

Prayers:

* Please pray that the team would get back into the work routine and that much will be accomplished this year.

* Please pray for Jim Laesch, that God would guide him as he works with various entities regarding our ministry.

* Please pray that the translation team would be protected against spiritual attack.

Thank you again for all of your prayers on our behalf.
