WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning, especially our guests. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.


THE CANDLE LIGHTERS for this morning's worship service are Grace Broekemeier and Mason Gansebom. Next Sunday they will be Joshua Gansebom and Blake Bahr.


OUR READER for this morning's worship service is Dwight Kahny. Communion assistants today are Doug Hartner and Ed Brummels. Next Sunday's reader will be Aaron von Rentzell.


IF YOU PLAN TO RECEIVE HOLY COMMUNION DURING THIS MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE, please register with the elders in the secretary's office before the worship service begins.


CHOIR WILL RESUME next Sunday morning with practice at 8:30 a.m. and then sing during the 9:30 a.m. worship service.




MIDWEEK AND CONFIRMATION CLASSES for students on grades 5 – 8 will begin this Wednesday, September 5th. Classes will begin at 3:45 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m.


THERE WILL NOT BE ANY SUNDAY SCHOOL TODAY. Next Sunday will be Sundae Sunday. The congregation is welcome to stay after church and have some ice cream in the fellowship hall. The 1st quarter of Sunday School will begin on Sunday, September 16th following the worship service.


QUILT TYING is scheduled to resume next Monday, September 10th, at 1:00 p.m. All ladies of the congregation are invited to come for an afternoon of fellowship and quilt tying. See you there!!


SUNDAY SCHOOL: 1st Quarter Sunday School will be starting on September 16th. The sign-up sheet for teachers is located at the back of the church. Please prayerfully consider volunteering for this opportunity! Thank you!


THE SECRETARY will be out of the office on Thursday and Friday of this week. As a result the bulletin will be printed on Wednesday. Please have all announcements turned in by Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Thank You!


AN LYF MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY EVENING, SEPTEMBER 5TH AT 6:30 P.M. The LYF will be receiving a donation from the Brandon Gerdes Memorial Trap Shoot, so we would like to have as many members there as possible for the presentation and picture. Also, we will be discussing interest in the 2019 Youth Gathering being held in Minneapolis July 11-15, 2019. Please plan to attend.


PLEASE JOIN THE OSMOND TEAMMATES PROGRAM in helping them raise funds at the Homecoming Football Game this Friday evening, September 7th at 7:00 p.m. We will be providing tavern or hot dog plates for $5.00. Go Tigers! We are also selling raffle tickets for an autographed Tom Osborne football to be given away at the football game that night. The football will be on display at Security Bank and raffle tickets can be purchased at Security Bank, New Frontier Insurance, and Osmond Mini Mart for $1 each or 6 for $5.



What? "The Strong-Willed Child" Bible Study

When? During the Sunday School hour after church-Starting September 16th for 5 weeks

Why? Our goal is to help strengthen families with this time-honored book by Dr. James Dobson.

The Bible study invites couples, single parents or even grandparents; we will discuss the book

in detail while providing practical advice and encouragement.

How do we join? Sign up in the church office and pick up your book.

THE OSMOND UNITED METHODIST WOMEN'S GUEST DAY will be held on Wednesday, September 12th at 6:30 p.m. with a Salad Bar followed by "A Century of Fashion" by Sue McLain of Humanities Nebraska. Come join us for an evening of fun and fellowship.
