WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning, especially our guests. We hope you can worship with us again soon.

OUR CANDLE LIGHTERS for this morning's worship service are Haven Schultze and Kenzie von Rentzell. Next Sunday, they will be Makenzie Johnson and Molly Beacom-Timmerman.

OUR READER for this morning's worship service is Doug Hartner. Next Sunday's reader will be Ed Brummels and helping prepare and distribute Holy Communion will be Aaron von Rentzell and Dwight Kahny.

THANK YOU to everyone who helped mow the church cemetery this past week. Your willingness to help is very much appreciated.

THE MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH DINNER COMMITTEE have begun work in earnest on the dinner which will be held Sunday, October 14. This dinner is an opportunity for the members of the congregation to work together on a project for the church. We need the help of everyone to make this a success, so we ask that you willingly do your part. If you have a previous commitment that day, please let us know immediately as we are making up the work schedule. If you need a change in assignment for work or foods, let us know that, too, so that we can get those assignments made.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: 1st Quarter Sunday School will be starting in September. The sign-up sheet for teachers is located at the back of the church. Please prayerfully consider volunteering for this opportunity! Thank you!

WE WELCOME MR. CLAYTON KRUEGER into our congregation as a new member, as he has transferred his church membership from Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Verdigre to Immanuel.

THE ANNUAL HOMEMADE ICE CREAM AND PIE SOCIAL at Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster will be held next Sunday, August 19th from 4-8 p.m. A free will donation will benefit mission projects. Everyone is invited to attend.

AT THE SPECIAL VOTERS' MEETING, held last Wednesday, the voters decided not to pursue a dual parish agreement with Golgotha. We continue to pray that God will provide for the ministry needs at Golgotha, while also providing for the needs of our congregation.

OUR PRESCHOOL PROGRAM is currently seeking the proper licensure to operate. As of this moment, we do not have that licensing, and by law, we are not allowed to open until the license is in place. There is the possibility of a slight delay in opening as we await word from the State of Nebraska.

We have every reason to believe that the license will be granted, as all the requirements have been met. God-willing, the state will act in a speedy manner so that we do not have to delay opening.

Please note that this is not a closing of the preschool, but a delay in opening. We will do everything possible to keep the preschool parents and congregation informed as this process progresses.

TEACHING OPPORTUNITY: Pastor Emery would like to begin offering midweek classes for 3rd and 4th grade students. The combined class would cover Bible stories from the Old Testament. WE NEED AN ADULT WHO WOULD BE WILLING TO TEACH THESE CHILDREN. If you are able, please contact Pastor for more details and to volunteer. We will begin after Labor Day.

PASTOR EMERY WANTS TO VISIT YOU! If you would like to volunteer for a time for Pastor to stop at your home for a brief visit, please contact him by text or phone. He would like to visit every member. Mornings, afternoons or evenings are available. Please let him know when he can stop and see you!
