IF A CHOIR CAN SOUND LIKE A CARILLON, it certainly did on Easter Sunday! If a choir can sound like angels, it certainly did on Thursday, April 9. Thank you all for honoring Pastor Trowbridge with the beautiful music he so very much loved. You all were in a special place in his heart.

The Family of Pastor Trowbridge

A LOT OF CONTAINTERS AND PANS have accumulated in the kitchen from various occasions, funerals, Easter breakfast, dinners, etc.  Please stop and check to see if any of them are yours.

LUTHERAN CARE SERVICES, a non-profit company that manages the Luther Park Campus, has provided quality services for mature Iowans, meeting their physical, spiritual, social and psychological needs at a beautiful campus.  The LWML will be collectiong items for the LWML Convention in June in Des Moines.  This will help them provide some resources for their residents:

There will be a box in the front entry of the church if you would like to donate to our in-gathering.

When we sent the cards and gift cards in December, we heard from so many kids saying how much they appreciated them, and what it meant to them.  They appreciate knowing that we as a church are thinking of them.  This time we would like to get more of you involved by adopting 1 or more college students.

We have 39 college students who could use some extra love and support, especially as they approach the end of the year and final exams.

Adopting requirements are:  send a care package to the students postmarked no later than next Friday, April 24th, to help students prepare for finals week.  Care packages must include:  goodies (store bought or homemade), a letter from Pastor Emery (just ask Denise for a copy), and a note of encouragement from you.  Optional items:  a gift-card to a fast food restaurant (for a let-study night snack run), and something fun (toy, giame, etc).  (We actualoly will have a fre silly things in the office that you might want to use).  Choices will be given by random selection and can remain anonymous if you so choose.

If interested, please contact Pastor Emery or Denise, and they will give you the student's name and mailing information.  (Please note!  We still have 4 names le3ft and the deadline is Friday).
