WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning, especially our guests.  We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

 

THE CANDLE LIGHTERS for this morning’s worship service are Nick Penlerick and Clay Johnson.  Next Sunday they will be Blake Brummels and Carissa Gutz.

 

THE FLOWERS AT THE ALTAR have been given by Wayne & Charlotte Blunck to glorify God and thank Him for the blessing of their 60 years of wedded life.  They were married in the old church August 3, 1952 with the late Pastor Theo. Wieting officiating.

 

WE THANK PASTOR JAMES WONNACOTT for filling in for Pastor this morning, while he and Sarah are gone to New Jersey for vacation and to visit family.

 

WE REMEMBER IN OUR PRAYERS TODAY:   Doyle Timmerman, Joanne Timmerman, Darrel Kahny, and Beth Johnson. If you have prayer requests for any members of your family or friends, please notify Pastor or the church secretary to have them added and also when you want them removed.

THE LUTHERAN HOUR:  Helen Kumm and her family are sponsoring today’s Lutheran Hour broadcast in memory of their husband and father Norman Kumm who entered eternal glory August 6, 1993;  her son Alan Kumm  who entered eternal glory on September 1, 1963; and her daughter Debra Clausen Buss who entered eternal glory on May 30, 2004.  The Lutheran Hour is broadcast each Sunday on WJAG (AM—780 & FM—105.9) at 12:30 P.M. as a project of Zone 11 of the Nebraska District Lutheran Laymen;s League.  Thank you to Helen Kumm and her family for their assistance in “Bringing Christ to the Nations and the Nations to the Church.

DATE CHANGE FOR UNITED METHODIST LADIES GUEST DAY!!!  Due to a scheduling conflict, the United Methodist Ladies Guest Day has been rescheduled to a month later.  The date of the Guest Day will now be September 6th at 7:00 p.m.   The program will be ‘The Doll Lady’, Candy Anderson.  Lunch will follow.  Hope you can join us!!

A SIGN-UP SHEET to provide cookies or rice krispie bars for VBS is posted on an easel in the rear of the church.  Cookies are still needed for several days.

DURING THE OSMOND CITY WIDE RUMMAGE SALE next Saturday, July 28th , a rummage sale will held from 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.  Clothes, Knick-Knacks, Toys, and Miscellaneous Items will be available for sale.  They will also be serving coffee, rolls, taverns, hot dogs, tea, lemonade, pie and ice cream from 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. as well.

THE MEMBERS OF THE LWML WOULD LIKE TO THANK everyone who donated items for the “Gifts From the Heart” in-gathering for their District Convention.  The items were distributed to the Orphan Grain Train and the Norfolk Rescue Mission.

 

THE CRAFT LEADERS FOR VBS are in need of 8 X 10” picture frames for craft projects for VBS. They can be either new or used, wood or metal and with or without glass.  If you have any 8 X 10” picture frames that you could donate, please bring them to church and put them in the designated box in the front entry of the church.  Thank You.

 

A RUMMAGE SALE will be held on Saturday, July 28th from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Osmond.  Clothes,  Knick-Knacks, Toys, and Miscellaneous Items are available for sale.  They will be serving coffee, rolls, taverns hot dogs, tea, lemonade, pie and ice cream from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as well.
