ADOPT-A-COLLEGE-STUDENT! When we sent the cards and gift cards in December, we heard from several kids saying how much they appreciated them, and what it meant to them. They appreciate knowing that we as a church are thinking of them. This time, we would like to get more of you involved by adopting 1 or more college students for this semester.

We have 31 college students who could use some extra love and support, especially as they approach the end of the year and final exams.

Adoption requirements are: send a care package to the student postmarked no later than April 18th, to help students prepare for finals week. Care Packages must include: goodies (store bought or homemade), a letter from Pastor Emery (just ask Denise for a copy), and a note of encouragement from you. Optional items: gift card to a fast food restaurant (for a late study night snack run), and something fun (toy, game, etc.). (We actually have a few silly things in the office that you might want to use). Name choices will be given by random selection and can remain anonymous if you so choose.

If interested, please contact Pastor Emery or Denise and they will give you the student's name and mailing information.

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS: The second quarter of Sunday School starts the beginning of March. A sign up for teachers is at the back of the church. We need teachers and substitutes, you may also teach in pairs, which works nicely. So even though someone may already be signed up, please consider teaching as a pair or a substitute.

It is by Grace we are saved, not our deeds. However, remember God does not want us to be passive Christians. In the 28th Chapter of Matthew, Jesus said "...go and make disciples of all nations,..." to make disciples you need to teach them. Help us prepare our youth to be disciples in Christ. They are the future of the Church, do not sit passively by. The Holy Spirit will guide you.
