WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

OUR READER for this morning is Ross Stelling. Our reader for our Thanksgiving service on Wednesday evening will be Paul Koehler and next Sunday our reader will be LYF member, Caleb Miller. Helping with communion this morning are Ed Brummels and Larry Krohn.

CANDLELIGHTERS for this morning are Reese Johns and Zaylah Pfanstiel. Wednesday evening they will be Anna Kahny and Ella von Rentzell. Next Sunday they will be Mason Gansebom and Landon Oltjenbruns.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS, which is entitled, “Prophet, Priest, and King” is a study on 1st and 2nd Samuel. It is a study consideration of “The Tribe, The Nation, and The Empire.” We will consider how God’s Words orders community life, from family to congregation, from church to nation and world and empire.

EARLY DEADLINE for next Sunday’s bulletin & the December calendar is Wednesday at 9 a.m.

THE BAZAAR has been postponed for now due to not being able to get some of the supplies and ingredients for the soup.

CHOIR will be practicing again next Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Everyone, high school age and older, are welcome.

WE ARE CURRENTLY RAISING FUNDS to replace the sign on the NE corner of the church with a digital signTotal collected so far is $12,270.81. Our goal is to collect $22,000 so the sign can be read from both directions.

THANKSGIVING WORSHIP will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.

SUNDAY SCHOOL is looking for two small trees (like 3-4’ max), white lights, red ornaments and a red cloth to go on the bottom of one tree for their program on Christmas Eve. If anyone has any of these items that they are willing to let the Sunday School use, please contact Kari Miller at 402-640-6330. Thank You!

MAIN STREET LIVING NEWS: This is the Life – “Senior Citizen” – A man struggles with purpose and a place in life after retirement. Worship Service – Rev. Jeffery Warner of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Laurel, NE, delivers the message “Stay Awake” based on Mark 13:24-37. FUNERAL SERVICES for Tony Johannsen will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Holstein, Nebraska, on Tuesday, November 23, at 11:00. Visitation will be at Apfel Funeral Home, at 505 N. Bellevue Ave, Hastings, on Monday from 5-7 p.m.

LYF will have practices for the December 15th Advent service on November 28th at 1:00pm, December 5th at 7:00pm and December 12th at 7:00pm.

LYF is selling RADA Cutlery again this year. Please contact an LYF member if you are interested in placing an order. You can also order online by going to A window should pop up that will ask you what group you would like to support. Please enter Immanuel LYF. If the pop-up window doesn’t appear automatically, towards the top left corner it says “support a new fundraiser”. That link will also open up the window. Members will also be available after church to take orders. All orders are due by December 5th and we should receive the items prior to Christmas. If you place your order online, they will be shipped directly to you. Thank you for supporting our members and those that are planning on attending National Convention this summer.

PICTURES TAKEN – Deb will continue taking pictures today and then again on December 5th in the fellowship hall of all of our members. We will have a wall (or two) with the pictures and name badges for everyone to wear to help Pastor Scott & Sonja get to know us a little better when they arrive. These pictures will also be used in our Church 360 (membership) program.

THE LWML CHRISTMAS will be held on Sunday, December 5th at noon. Hot food will be provided. All LWML members please bring a salad or dessert.

CHURCH STEEPLE: The trustees are considering removing the steeple on top of the church before the church gets new shingles in the spring. Comments/ideas, whether positive or negative may be expressed to any member of the Board of Trustees – Justin Koehler, Randy Pfanstiel, Brody Friedrich, Jordan Koehler and Wayne Koehler.

COLLEGE STUDENT GIFT CARDS We are once again at the time of year when college students (about 30 students this year) will be studying for semester finals and our church family sends them a gift card to let them know we are thinking about them. About 90% has been raised so far. A basket is set in the back of church as you leave if you would like to make a donation.

BOXES OF CHRISTMAS CARDS have arrived. They are set up on a table in the fellowship hall with prices marked on the back of each box. Please put payments in the can sitting on the table. (checks payable to Ladies Aid) Thank You!

TIRED OF WRITING A CHECK TO CHURCH EVERY WEEK? - We are receiving these payments on the 1st and 15th of the month. You can choose one or both of these dates. If you are interested (it is not mandatory) in doing this, please stop in the office and Deb will have you fill out the needed form.

LIVE NATIVITY St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Pierce, will be holding their 3rd annual drive thru live nativity on Friday, December 3rd from 5:30-8:30 pm and on Saturday, December 4th from 4:00-8:30 pm. See posters on entry doors for more information.

INSTALLATION for Pastor Scott Kirchoff will be on Saturday, December 11th at 2:00 p.m.
