WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

OUR CANDLELIGHTERS for this morning are Mason Gansebom and Landon Oltjenbruns. Wednesday evening they will be Karter Johnson and Baylen Guenther. Next Sunday they will be Spencer Hille and Tucker von Rentzell.

OUR READER for this morning is LYF member, Caleb Miller. Wednesday evening and next Sunday the reader will be Ed Brummels. Helping with Holy Communion next Sunday will be Paul Koehler and Ross Stelling.

NO MEMBER PICTURES this morning as Deb is out of town today. Next Sunday will be the last chance!

MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICES will begin this Wednesday, December 1st at 7:00 p.m. Ladies Aid will be hosting the fellowship hour after worship.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS are still needed. PLEASE contact Cory Hille or Kari Miller if you would consider teaching our young children.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS, which is entitled, “Prophet, Priest, and King” is a study on 1st and 2nd Samuel. It is a study consideration of “The Tribe, The Nation, and The Empire.” We will consider how God’s Words orders community life, from family to congregation , from church to nation and world and empire.

WE ARE CURRENTLY RAISING FUNDS to replace the sign on the NE corner of the church with a digital sign. Donations may be put in the offering plate (clearly marked for the digital sign) or dropped off at the church office. Total collected so far is $13,780.81. Our goal is to collect $22,000 so the sign can be read from both directions.

TIRED OF WRITING A CHECK TO CHURCH EVERY WEEK? - We are receiving these ACH payments on the 1st and 15th of the month. You can choose one or both of these dates. If you are interested (it is not mandatory) in doing this, please stop in the office and Deb will have you fill out the needed form.

THE LUTHERAN STUDY BIBLES are on sale at CPH through Monday, November 29th. If interested, you may order yourself online or let Deb know by 10:00 am tomorrow and she can order one for you. Large Print (10.65 pt font) are $40 and Reg (9.2 pt font) are $30 or thumb indexed are $35. Even the Journaling Study bible is on sale for $30 (7.2 pt font).

OUR ANNUAL COLLECTION for the Osmond Food Pantry will be held here at Immanuel yet this morning! Items needed are: laundry soap, laundry softener, cash and gift certificates to Tiger Town Food Center for perishable items such as milk and meat. After today, items may still be dropped off at the Methodist Church.

MAIN STREET LIVING NEWS: This is the Life – “The Gift” A daughter struggles with what to do with birthday gift money. Worship Service – Rev. Jason Letsche of First Lutheran Church in Kingsley, IA, delivers the message “Reviving His Tree” based on Jeremiah 33:14-16. These shows air on today on KCAU-TV 9 out of Sioux City beginning at 10:00 a.m.

THE LYF will have practices for their December 15th Advent service skit on: November 28th at 1:00 p.m., December 5th at 7:00 p.m. and on December 12th at 7:00 p.m.

THE LUTHERAN HOUR: Today, Speaker: Dr. Michael Zeigler. The Lutheran Hour airs on WJAG both AM 780 and FM 105.9 on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Members will also be available after church to take orders. All orders are due by December 5th and we should receive the items prior to Christmas. REV. SCOTT KIRCHOFF has accepted the call to be our next pastor. He will be installed here at Immanuel on Saturday, December 11th at 2:00 PM and begin leading us in worship on December 12th!

LIVE NATIVITY St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Pierce, will be holding their 3rd annual drive thru live nativity on Friday, December 3rd from 5:30-8:30 pm & Saturday, December 4th from 4:00-8:30 pm. See posters on entry doors for more information.

OSMOND CHRISTMAS WISHES 2021 will be held on Sunday, December 12th. New location this year due to size of display of the Washington DC Veteran’s Flights of Honor Exhibit will be at the Koehler Channel Seed Building on Hwy 20. Social Hour 5:30-6:30, Dinner meal at 6:30 with program and entertainment to follow. RSVPs are encouraged by calling Bob Stange at 402-748-3884. FUNERAL SERVICES for Tony Johannsen will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Holstein, Nebraska, on Tuesday, November 23, at 11:00. Visitation will be at Apfel Funeral Home, at 505 N. Bellevue Ave, Hastings, on Monday from 5-7 p.m.

PICTURES TAKEN – Deb will continue taking pictures today and then again on December 5th in the fellowship hall of all of our members. We will have a wall (or two) with the pictures and name badges for everyone to wear to help Pastor Scott & Sonja get to know us a little better when they arrive. These pictures will also be used in our Church 360 (membership) program.

THE LWML CHRISTMAS will be held on Sunday, December 5th at noon. Hot food will be provided. All LWML members please bring a salad or dessert.

CHURCH STEEPLE: The trustees are considering removing the steeple on top of the church before the church gets new shingles in the spring. Comments/ideas, whether positive or negative may be expressed to any member of the Board of Trustees – Justin Koehler, Randy Pfanstiel, Brody Friedrich, Jordan Koehler and Wayne Koehler.

COLLEGE STUDENT GIFT CARDS We are once again at the time of year when college students (about 30 students this year) will be studying for semester finals and our church family sends them a gift card to let them know we are thinking about them. About 90% has been raised so far. A basket is set in the back of church as you leave if you would like to make a donation.

A Special Welcome to Pastor Tim Beckendorf, Lisa, Aaron & Andrew, missionaries with LBT in Botswana, Africa. Pastor Beckendorf will be preaching and talking to everyone about Botswana during bible class hour with coffee and bars being served.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. DAVID KUMM, the NE District Administrator of the Year. He is principal of Trinity Lutheran School in Lincoln. He is Marv & Cindy Kumm’s son, and a former member of Immanuel.
