WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon. A Special Welcome to Rev. Wonacott, who is filling in this morning for Pastor Rosenthal.

OUR CANDLELIGHTERS for this morning are Anna Kahny and Erin Wagner. Next Sunday they will be Cali Gutz and Anna Kahny.

OUR READER for this morning is LYF member, Matthew Alderson. Next Sunday the reader will be Ed Brummels. Helping with Holy Communion next Sunday will be Paul Koehler and Ross Stelling.

CHOIR will begin on the October 10th. Practice will start at 8:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome, including high school students.

THANK YOU to everyone who came to visit with Pastor Scott Kirchoff and his wife, Sonja, who came to visit Immanuel and Osmond this past week. Please keep them, their congregation, Faith Lutheran, Kent, Ohio, and Immanuel in your continued prayers.

LWML CELEBRATION SUNDAY! Next Sunday, October 4th, has been designated as LWML Sunday at Immanuel. The women of he LWML invite the entire congregation to celebrate together as the Body of Christ under the theme, “Our Hearts in HIS Hand.” This special worship service was authored by Rev. Dr. Dale A. Meyer, president emeritus and professor emeritus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Join us and learn how the Lord has worked through the LWML to bring the lost and erring into fellowship with Him through mission and ministry.

DIGITAL SIGN DONATIONS are being accepted. They can be put in the offering plate with a special note that this is where you would like you donation applied or dropped by the church office.

TIRED OF WRITING A CHECK TO CHURCH EVERY WEEK? - We are in the process of setting up automatic payments to the church. We have decided to receive these payments on the 1st and 15th of the month, beginning this month. You can choose one or both of these dates. If you are interested (it is not mandatory) in doing this, please stop in the office and Deb will have you fill out the needed form.

LYF has bags of potatoes in both entrances to the church for a freewill offering!  All donations collected will be used to help the youth from Immanuel attending the National Youth Convention with their trip expenses.  The Convention will be held in Houston, Texas  July 9-13, 2022.

LYF will be hosting a drive through dinner on October 23rd from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. here at Immanuel as a fund raiser for the 2022 National LYF Convention. For more information, watch future bulletins.

WHAT ABOUT BOOKS are available for you near the bulletin boxes. These books are easy to read and explain what Lutherans believe and teach about topics important for today.

THE “CARD PARTY” celebrates its 3rd anniversary during the month of September. During the last year, 606 birthday cards (14 more than last year) were written. Keeping the church office informed of address changes is truly appreciated since over 80% of these cards were sent through the mail! We welcome anyone interested in joining our outreach ministry to join us the third Tuesday of every month at 1:00 for an afternoon of fun fellowship and card writing at the church.

MAIN STREET LIVING NEWS: This is the Life – “Home Free” – A family learns the real meaning of love, and that it comes free. Worship Service – Rev. Michael Awe of Hope Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, NE, delivers the message “What Do You Crave” based on Numbers 11:4-6, 10-16, 24-29.

REMINDER: Please save all BEST CHOICE labels/bar codes! Preschool is still saving the labels/bar codes. This is a continuous collection so you can collect them the whole year. There is a box on top of the bulletin boxes or you can place them in Julie Slagle’s box. Thank you!

YOUR INVITED to the Fall Festival hosted by First Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomfield, Ladies Aid is today from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. This year they will be serving roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad bar and desert bar. The cost is $9.00 for adults and youth over the age of 10. Children 10 and under are $5.00 for ½ roast beef sandwich and sides. If you would like to place a to-go order, please contact Doris Mackeprang at 402-373-2361 by September 21st. We will also have a country store with homemade items.

“LIFE CHAIN” is a peaceful and prayerful witness to all of America that abortion is wrong. Will you please join us in this year’s Life Chain on Sunday, October 3rd, in Norfolk? We are meeting at the intersection of 13th Street and Norfolk Avenue. Signs will be provided for everyone to hold. This event is from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Please take 1 hour out of your busy schedule to take a stand for the unborn who cannot speak for themselves. SUNDAY SCHOOL begins today, but Sunday School teachers are desperately needed.

A DIGITAL SIGN is being considered to replace the sign on the NE corner of the church. A poster has been made and is in the back of church. Donations may be put in the offering plate (clearly marked for the digital sign) or dropped off at the church office. The committee is considering this a mission project. Any questions may be addressed to the committee: LaDonna Stanosheck, Randy Pfanstiel and Deb Gutz.

LYF MEMBERS AND PARENTS: We decided to take the kids to National LYF convention in Texas. The trip is July 9th -13th. A $350.00 deposit is required for each individual and the rest of the money will be fundraised. If you want to go and need help raising the deposit money please let Us know and we will help you with additional fundraising. If you want to go on the trip it is important that you and a parent come to the meeting at church tonight, September 19th at 7pm. If you want to go on the trip but can’t make it to the meeting please let Melanie know so we can have the paperwork filled out ahead of time.

A CALL WAS EXTENDED to Rev. Scott Kirchoff at the Call meeting on September 8th. Please pray for Pastor Kirchoff, his family and his congregation at Faith Lutheran in Kent, Ohio as he makes his decision. He and his wife, Sonja, will be visiting Immanuel and Osmond this week.

A LYF MEETING for all members will be held Wednesday, September 22nd at 6:30 p.m. A meal will be provided.

BRIGHT HORIZONS is having a month-long Gift Card Drive in September. They are asking for $10.00 gift cards or certificates to local businesses. These gift cards will be given to clients for gas, food, and much more. Thank you for your support. Bright Horizons has locations in Norfolk, O’Neill and Ainsworth. Bright Horizons provides resources to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence and have been doing this for over 40 years.

God be praised that our Savior, Jesus, who purchased our salvation at Golgotha outside of Jerusalem has brought His blood bought gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation to Golgotha outside of Wausa for 125 years.

BAPTISM IS BEING HELD THIS MORNING for Henry Bud Koehler, son of Mark and Kate (Utecht) Koehler. Henry’s sponsors are Adam & Kim Utecht and Eric Koehler. God’s blessings to Henry as he becomes a member of our congregation and an heir of our Heavenly Father.

THE FLOWERS ON THE PIANO are in honor of Jim & Margaret Broekemeier’s 70th Wedding anniversary which will be on Thursday, September 9th. Congratulations and God’s blessings to you both!.

FAREWELL POTLUCK: There will be a Farewell Potluck for Pastor and Darlene Lilienkamp today at noon. The congregation is invited to attend. Please bring a meat/main dish and/or salad. Thank you, Pastor Lilienkamp for all you have done for Immanuel these past 11 months.

CONFIRMATION AND MIDWEEK CLASSES begin this Wednesday, September 8th from 4:00 -5:30 p.m. for grades 5-8.

CONFIRMATION PARENTS will be meeting with Pastor Rosenthal after the first class this Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. All parents are asked to please be present.

OSMOND UMW GUEST DAY will be held this Wednesday in their fellowship hall at 6:30 with a salad luncheon followed by A Century of Fashion “The Roaring Twenties” by Sue McLain of Humanities Nebraska. Bring your daughters and granddaughters. All are welcome for an evening of fun and fellowship.
