WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning, especially our guests. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU to Pastor James Carretto, who is filling in as our guest pastor, while Pastor Emery is on vacation . In case of a pastoral need, please contact one of the Elders. They will be able to address any need you encounter.

OUR READER for this morning is Mike Johnson. Next Sunday our reader will be Doug Hartner. Helping with communion this morning is Dwight Kahny and Aaron von Rentzell.

OUR CANDLELIGHTERS for next Sunday will be Logan Stelling and Hudson Schultze.

THE FLOWERS ON THE ORGAN are in honor of Alton Fuelberth's 90th birthday, which was Friday. God's blessings to Alton and thank you for sharing the flowers with us.

COLLEGE STUDENTS or Parents of College Students, please stop in, call or e-mail the church office with your addresses and cell phone numbers if possible. We would also love to have the college they are attending and what their major is.

LWML DISTRICT RETREAT will be held on Saturday, October 12th from 8:30 – 3:30 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk.

SENIOR CITIZEN MEMBER DINNER will be held here at Immanuel next Sunday, October 13th. If you are 70 years old or older, you are invited. Please let Margaret Broekemeier or Denise Streich know if you are UNABLE to make it or if you should have received an invitation and didn't get one.

THANK YOU to those 21 ladies who came to help with the fall church cleaning. Your help is very much appreciated.

MITE BOXES are available on the LWML display table by the bulletin boxes. Please feel free to take one.

CHRIST LUTHERAN, BAZILLE MILLS will be having their annual Sauerbraten (marinated roast beef) and Ham Dinner TODAY in their church basement. Sauerbraten, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, salad bar, dessert bar, and drinks will be served. There will also be craft and bake sale tables. Serving is from 4-8 pm. Adults $10.00, 10 and under $5.00, and 3 years and under free.

TODAY IS NATIONAL LIFE CHAIN SUNDAY. We invite you to form a chain of people that are opposed to the killing of unborn children. Many people from Northeast Nebraska will be participating with us today to proclaim that abortion is wrong. Please join us at about 1:45 pm so we can be in place and ready to go when Life Chain officially starts at 2:00 pm. We will have the signs for you to hold up and they can be picked up in the parking lots of Walgreens, BankFirst, CVS or Michael's Photography. If you cannot stand for the entire hour, please feel free to bring a chair along to use. We will be organizing at the intersection of 13th Street and Norfolk Avenue and spreading out from there.

PASTOR ALLEN HENDERSON, St. Paul's, Fort Dodge, was robbed and murdered Wednesday evening outside St. Paul Lutheran Church. We pray for the Lord's comfort and grace not only for his immediate family but also the family of St. Paul Lutheran Church. The probable assailant has been arrested. We ask the Lord to help him see the error of his ways and repentant of this.

MEMBERS OF ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH AND SCHOOL, rural Columbus, invite you to their Oktoberfest German Dinner on Sunday, October 20th, 2019. Serving times are 11:00 am until 1:30 pm. Tickets are $12.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 5-10 years of age, and ages 4 and under eat free. Tickets available at the door. Take-out orders are also available. We are located 12 miles north of Columbus Community Hospital on 48th Avenue or 6 ½ miles south of Creston at the corner of Hwy 91 and 205th Avenue. Our Worship Service begins at 9:30 am that morning.
