WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning, especially our guests. We hope you will be able to worship with us again soon.

OUR READER for this morning is Aaron von Rentzell. Next Sunday our reader will be Mike Johnson. Helping with communion next week will be Dwight Kahny and Aaron von Rentzell.

OUR CANDLELIGHTERS for next Sunday will be Diandra Polt and Zaylah Pfanstiel.

SPECIAL OFFERING: Today we are celebrating Lutheran Women's Missionary League Sunday. We will have a special offering as you leave the church for our "Mite Box for Missions". This offering will go towards our mission projects which currently are – Teach Me Too – Preschoolers With Learning Needs, and Chaplain Scholarships for Medical Mission Trips, which will ease the burden of Pastors who have the heart to do God's work by serving our brothers and sisters around the world. Please look at the display table in the back of church, which explains these projects.

PASTOR EMERY will be on a short vacation from October 4-8th. In case of a pastoral need, please contact one of the Elders. They will be able to address any need you encounter.

COLLEGE STUDENTS or Parents of College Students, please stop in, call or e-mail the church office with your addresses and cell phone numbers if possible. We would also love to have the college they are attending and what their major is.

FALL FESTIVAL First Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomfield, will celebrate their annual Fall Festival today. They will be serving Hot Beef Sandwich with mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, salad bar and dessert bar. The meal will be served from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The cost will be $9.00 for Adults, $5.00 for children under the age of 10. Children's meal is a choice between half a Hot Beef Sandwich or a Hot Dog. A Country Store will also be provided. Carryout Orders are available; please call Doris Mackeprang at 402-373-2361 by September 23rd to place a carryout order.

LWML ZONE FALL GATHERING will be held on Saturday, October 5th Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh. Registration is from 8:30-9:00. The theme is "Let Us Not Be Weary Of Doing Good" Galations 6:9 Ladies will meet at 8:00 a.m. to carpool to Neligh

LWML DISTRICT RETREAT will be held on Saturday, October 12th from 8:30 – 3:30 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Registration deadline is October 5th. Contact Deb for more information and a registration form.

CHRIST LUTHERAN, BAZILLE MILLS will be having their annual Sauerbraten (marinated roast beef) and Ham Dinner on Sunday October 6th in the church basement. Sauerbraten, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, salad bar, dessert bar, and drinks will be served. There will also be craft and bake sale tables. Serving is from 4-8 pm. Adults $10.00, 10 and under $5.00, and 3 years and under free.

THE WAUSA WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP EVENT will be held at the Lied Lincoln Township Library in Wausa on Thursday, October 3rd at 6:30 p.m. Rhonda Johnson Wootton, Author of Watching the Dragonfly Dance is the speaker. Ladies from Immanuel are invited and encouraged to attend. See poster in front entry.

"LIFE CHAIN" is a peaceful and prayerful witness to all of America that abortion is wrong. Will you please join us in this year's Life Chain on Sunday, October 6th? We are meeting at the intersection of 13th Street and Norfolk Avenue. Signs will be provided for everyone to hold. This event is from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Please take 1 hour out of your busy schedule to take a stand for the unborn who cannot speak for themselves. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The Elders have initiated an effort to make sure all families of the congregation are contacted at least once every 6 months. Volunteers from the congregation are needed to help with 10-20 families. Please contact one of the Elders if you would like to join us. There will be a meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. to get the ball rolling.

THE IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CEMETERY will be mowed on Monday, September 23rd at 6:30 p.m. The following members of Immanuel are asked to please come and help mow:

PLEASE NOTE!! Women and older children are also welcome to help mow. We need riders, push mowers, and trimmers in order to do a good job.

MEMORIAL COMMITTEE is updating their memorial list and is looking for suggestions for memorials. If you have an idea, please contact either Ed Brummels or Janet Pfanstiel or you may drop off at the church office. Thank you.

OSMOND TEAMMATES will be hosting a tailgate party during the Osmond Tiger Homecoming football game. Hotdog Plate is $5.00 which includes hot dog bar, chips and a bottle of water. There will also be a split the pot during the game with the winner announced at the end of the third quarter.

CHURCH ANNIVERSARY --You are cordially invited to join Concordia Lutheran Church, Clearwater in celebrating its 75th anniversary on Sunday, September 22. The regular morning Divine Service will take place at the special time of 10 AM. At noon, a catered dinner of chicken and ham will be offered in the church basement, followed by the anniversary program in the sanctuary, and concluding with cake and ice cream in the church basement. If you plan to attend the morning service and/or the noon meal, please let Pr. Feusse know so that he can make the proper preparations. TODAY, THE 3RD GRADERS are receiving a Story Bible from our congregation. We hope to make this an annual tradition. Please, please if we miss anyone it is not intentional. Please let Pastor know and we will make sure to get one to your child.

SUNDAE SUNDAY – We invite everyone today for Sundae Sunday. We will kick off the Sunday School year with games, prizes and ice cream.

LYF MEETING -- there will be a short LYF meeting at 6p.m. tonight!

2nd YEAR OFFICERS!! – All 2nd year officers are what make up the Nominating Committee. There will be a meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. to make plans for all nominations for officers for the 2020 Council and other positions including Auditors, Ushers and Nurturing and Fellowship Committee. Please mark it on your calendar and plan to attend. Thank you.

QUILT TYING is scheduled to resume tomorrow, Monday, September 9th, at 1:00 p.m. All ladies of the congregation are invited to come for an afternoon of fellowship and quilt tying. See you there!!

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL ACTIVITIES: On June 9th, cookies were baked for the elderly and shut-ins and pine cone bird feeders were made. On July 14th, care packages for our military and law enforcement of Immanuel were made. THANK YOU to the members of Immanuel for helping pay for the gifts and paying for postage. August 11th, Karl Schulz came and had a sing along with the students.

LLL ZONE 11 RALL RALLY: On Sunday, October 6, Zion Lutheran LLL, Pierce, NE will be hosting the LLL Fall Rally with registration beginning at 2:30 P.M. and closing with a tender pork loin dinner. The speaker for the event will be Mick Onnen from Stanton. His topic will center on a recent mission trip to Cambodia and Thailand. Mick is also a member of the International Lutheran Hour Ministries Board. Our theme is; "SENT by Jesus, Lord of the Harvest!"
