WE WELCOME EVERYONE who has worshipped with us this morning, especially our guests.

THE CANDLE LIGHTERS for this morning's worship service are Joshua Gansebom and Blake Bahr. Next Sunday morning they will be Grace Broekemeier and Riley Wagner

OUR READER for this morning's worship service is Keaton Timmerman. Next Sunday's reader will be Ed Brummels and helping prepare and distribute Holy Communion will be Dwight Kahny and Aaron von Rentzell.

Sunday School Teachers - Second quarter of Sunday School starts December 1st. Please consider using your talents for this ministry. A sign-up sheet is located in the back of the church.

Robert and Barb Petersen will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary this afternoon from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. with an open house here from at Immanuel. The family extends an invitation to the members of Immanuel to join them. The flowers on the organ are in honor of their anniversary, given by their children.

Christmas Eve Program - It is time to start preparing for the Christmas Eve Program. Letters regarding participation were sent home with the Sunday School Children. If you have not received one, please let Marvin Gutz (402-318-1553) know if your child(ren) will or will not be able to participate in the Christmas program.

Practices for the Christmas Eve Program will begin on Saturday, December 1st, from 9:00-10:30. The first 2 Saturday practices (Dec 1st and 8th) will be for Kindergarten thru 8th grade. The last 2 Saturday practices (Dec 15th and 22nd) will include the Nursery and Preschool children.

There will be a short meeting after the December 1st practice for the teachers. Please plan to stay about a half hour to discuss the Christmas Eve Program. Thank you in advance for your time and help with the program!

Advent Devotional books have been printed for everyone's use and are located on the shelf of the bulletin boxes.

FOOD BANK COLLECTION: We will once again be collecting items for the Osmond Food Pantry on Thanksgiving Day and the two following Sundays! The food bank can only accept unexpired items, so please check the dates!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The Ladies Aid/LWML Bazaar will be held on Friday, December 7th, at the Church Fellowship Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Watch next Sunday's bulletin for more information.

A Camp Luther Christmas: Saturday, December 8th from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm., join us for an open house Christmas festival! Cookie Decorating (and eating), Caroling, Christmas Games, Family Devotion, Crafts, Christmas Tree Decorating Contest, Lunch, and more! $10/person at the door, Age 3 and under free. The Beckendorf Benefit Committee members would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped set up before, tear down after, worked at the dinner, donated items, purchased items or helped in any way to make the Benefit a SUCCESS! Also thanks to all who attended the benefit and made monetary donations to the Beckendorf family. What a loving and caring community and congregation Immanuel has!

Volunteer(s) needed to take care of the poinsettias here at Immanuel. They will arrive on December 14. If you are a willing volunteer, please let Pastor know.

Beckendorf Benefit Report:

So far, amount raised from the Benefit: $12,720.46

(meal, silent auction, bake sale and rummage sale)

Expenses of food, advertising, supplies, etc.: $1,552.40

less the 6 Thrivent Action Team Cards of: $1,500.00

Only Expenses out of Pocket: $52.40

Leaves a current balance of: $12,668.06

A check for $4,000.00 will be mailed to Pastor Beckendorf in Illinois, for his current medical expenses. Pastor Beckendorf knows that the balance has been deposited into the church checking account and will be held for future needs that he and his family may need.
