LWML NOTE: The display table in the back of the church is from LWML Sunday, which was celebrated on September 23rd. We hope you will take time to look at it and see what our organization does. The Mite box is always in the back of the church, and we thank those who give to the LWML Mites.

THE SECRETARY will be out of the office on Friday of this week. As a result the bulletin will be printed on Thursday. Please have all announcements turned in by Thursday at 9:00 a.m. Thank You!

CHURCH DINNER: The members of the church dinner committee have a concern that they wish to share with you. There have been many more persons this year who have called to say that they have changed their plans and will not be able to work their shift or cook the food they were assigned for the dinner on October 14. We are now at a critical point where we no longer have enough people to fill the empty spots, and that will make it very difficult to carry off this event. We are asking you to please realize that everyone is busy this time of year, but we need everyone's help. Won't you please take the time to honor our Lord and spend some time with your church family? Won't you please make this a top priority so that our church dinner will once again be a success? Thank you.

IMMANUEL'S WINDSOR LOIN DINNER will be held next Sunday, October 14th at the Osmond City Hall. Serving will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

THERE WILL NOT BE ANY Choir, Sunday School or Bible Classes next Sunday morning, due to the Windsor Loin Dinner.

PIE SIGN-UP FOR CHURCH DINNER: Those individuals who are making pies for the church dinner are asked to sign up on the poster in the back of the church.

ALL ADMINISTRATIVE BOARDS will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, October 10th. The CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING will follow at 8:30 p.m. All council members are urged to attend as they will be working on the slate for the election officers.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who made Life Sunday a success. Rev. Dr. Lamb and Kim Laube presented valuable information about life issues, including how Christians view life and death. A special thank you to The Fellowship and Stewardship Committee, especially Amanda Koehler and Sandy Brummels, for all their hard work in making the soup competition a success. Everyone will agree that there were lots of delicious soups, and not a bad one in the bunch. The only problem was there were too many to try! Pastor Emery and his White Chicken Chili won the contest! A close second was Amanda Koehler and her chili! Most importantly, $182 was raised to support the work of Lutheran Family Service of Iowa. The door offering raised $414 for LFS of Iowa. Thank you very much for your generous spirit!

THERE WILL BE AN LYF MEETING on Wednesday, October 10, at 6:30 p.m. Anyone that is going to the National Youth Gathering needs to have registrations/deposits turned in no later than October 10th to Marla Huwaldt.
